How to balance the budget
for closet accountants.
Service Area: Based in Gulfport, we proudly serve the Southern Mississippi Gulf Coast.
Service Call Fee: A service fee of $75 for calls within 25 miles of Gulfport. An additional charge of $3.00 per mile is applied after the first 25 miles. The Service Call fee is only charged for one direction. Our standard service call area extends west to include McCleod Park Campground in the Kiln to David Bayou Campground in Ocean Springs to the east. We also cover as far north as Perk Beach RV Park in Perkinston. We use Google Maps to calculate mileage, from I-10 and US-49. If two or more clients happen to be in the same RV park, each client is still charged a Service Call fee.
Emergency Service Fee: Our emergency service fee is $300 for 24 hour priority response as long as we are available. This fee covers immediate attention to problems that require rapid resolutions, such as deploying or retracting awnings, slides, landing gear or leveling systems. We understand that RV emergencies can happen and we don’t want you to end up stranded. We provide complete repair or a safe and roadworthy solution to your problem without causing further damage. Contact Us right away.
Cost: Our Shop Rate is $150 per hour, with a minimum charge of one hour, for an RVTAA Certified Technician. Most maintenance, repair and inspection work will be quoted on a per job basis.
Payment: We accept payment via debit or credit card, or cash. A 5% discount off our labor charge is given if paying in cash.
Help Us Help You! The more we know about your RV’s issue, the better. Our Contact Form is a great way contact Fixin’ to RV’s service department. Filling out this form with as much information as you can will give us a good idea of the solution to your RV’s issue. Be aware, the RV industry is infamous for changing configurations, wiring, even major appliances for the same model. If you can provide both the model number and serial number of your problem appliance or a picture of the data plate, that will greatly assist in trouble shooting.
If You Phone Us: You are welcome to phone us at (228) 234-1775. If we cannot pick up please leave a voicemail with your name, phone number, the issue you want to address, and how late we can return your phone call or text you. We will respond as soon as possible and strive to return all calls the same day. Also, please pay attention to our voicemail greeting. If we are out of town and will not be returning calls, that information will be given with an expected return time.
Return Call Policy: Occasionally it is necessary to make a second visit to complete a repair, such as the needed part is not in our on-truck inventory. In such cases a $25 Return Call fee will be assessed.
90-Day Workmanship Warranty: We warranty our work for 90 days, provided you are still at the location where the work was performed and within our service area. For example, if we fixed a leaking water pump, but it started leaking again within 90 days. We will return for free to repair the leak if it’s a result of our workmanship. (If the water pump began to leak again because it failed mechanically, we would give you a quote to repair or replace the water pump, plus a $25 Return Call fee.)
Parts Warranty: We will replace the parts we sell based on the part manufacturer’s warranty. We know RV parts can be found at discount retailers for less but, unfortunately, the sourcing and handling of parts purchased from many online sources cannot always be controlled. We will install parts you source yourself on a case-by-case basis, and your final receipt will reflect that these parts are not warrantied. We support RV industry distributors by purchasing from them whenever possible. This way we are confident in the source of the parts, the quality of the parts, and know that our distributor will stand behind the manufacturer’s warranty.
Your Receipt: Your billing receipt will detail everything! It will list your Complaint (the RV’s problem), the Cause (as determined by our diagnosis), and the Correction (what we did to fix the problem). The receipt will also include the cost of any parts or shop supplies, and any warranty details. Fixin to RV also keeps a file for all the work we’ve done for our clients, so we have a history of the services we’ve provided for both party’s future reference.
Factory and Extended Warranty Work: These jobs are taken on a case-by-case basis. Before we can commit to performing factory or extended warranty work, we need to confer with you and the involved factory or warranty company, as their procedures can vary greatly. Hopefully we already have a relationship with the factory or warranty company, or it is easy to create (some are, some aren’t). Sometimes our client must pay for services, to be reimbursed later through their warranty. Ideally, the factory or extended warranty will pre-approve all work quickly (typically after a full diagnosis is performed and any needed parts are identified) and we can have your RV’s problem solved as quickly as possible.
What We Don’t Do: Being a mobile RV repair provider, specializing in RV-specific appliances and systems, there are limitations to our services. We do not work on generators, slide repairs requiring removal of the slide, nor full roof replacements. We do not offer welding services, chassis/frame repairs, nor engine or automotive-related services. For specific questions, please feel free to reach out so that we can discuss your situation: service@fixintorv.com or phone 228-234-1775.
